March's Flash!Mob book isn't due out until Friday, but here's this month's prompt.

The FLASH!MOB prompt for April 2025 is TANGLED WEB

300 wobbly words... any genre... any style... go wild with the whatifs!

What if...

  • a witch uses spiders' webs to weave spells into blankets that they sell in the local farmers' market...
  • a bunch of kids break into an abandoned house to find it is full to the rafters with thick tangled cobwebs...
  • computer AIs take over the numerous world wide webs and start to manipulate humanity... (hang on...)
  • detectives are puzzled by a web of secrets that hide a killer...
  • a spaceship is caught in an interdimensional tangled web of realities...

Any of these or whatever springs to mind... have fun and happy writing.

Deadline: 25th April 2025

Please email stories to: submissions@harveyduckman.com with the subject line WEB and please check out our submission guidelines so you know what you're letting yourself in for (original work only, fiction or creative non-fiction welcome, no AI, no fee, no royalties, for fun only, all proceeds to the Harvey project for future stuff...).

If I miss out your story, it's probably an oversight... please give me a shout and I'll fix it asap.

A note on wobbly word counts: 300 words is just a rough guide.. anything up to 1k words or so is fine xx
