We've had a lot of fun over the past few years with mini flash projects to write and publish a book in a week.

The first was right after lockdown when the Crossing The Tees Book Festival asked for ideas. We couldn't resist, had a wonderful session with a bunch of great writers at Middlesbrough Central Reference Library on Monday morning, and launched Flash!Mob: We Hope This Finds You Well on Friday evening of the same week.

The next was an invite to Teesside's TechNExt Festival in 2023 where Flash!Mob: Into The Future was created.

Our short collections of flash fiction are published on a throw-it-in-there and throw-it-out-to-the-world basis. These are intended to be fun, creative and spontaneous, and give you a chance to write quickly and share those stories without delay.

On some months, there will be a one word or short phrase writing prompt... on other months, there may be a list of What Ifs to inspire the stories to flow.

And once a year, we plan to publish a mega-volume. Give us a shout to find out more, or send your mini stories to submissions@harveyduckman.com with the prompt as the subject line.
