300 words... any genre... any style... go wild with the what ifs!

What if...

• enchanted dice are used to control the fate of a city?
• a casino’s weighted dice are sentient and land depending on how much they like the players at the table?
• strangers find themselves trapped in a room with nothing but a wooden table upon which rests two D6?
• a steam-powered time machine is controlled by dice that tumble randomly to generate the destination date?
• in a strange version of the real world, your skill at any task is governed by a roll of two D10?
