Yuletide Greetings
Hoping this finds you all well and warm, writing and inspired.
Hey everyone, I hope this finds you all well and warm, writing and inspired.
If you're wondering where the regular Harvey emails have been this month, and if you don't know already, I hibernate in the winter.
I write, rest, light candles, drink the darkest of spiced rums, play with simmer pots of cinnamon and rosemary, and hope for enough free time for thumb-twiddling, which is where all the best ideas come from.
On the Harvey book front, we've been playing in these darkest days of winter with a pagan basket of axes, blood sacrifice, forest deities, crossroads and runestones. The next anthology, which features a stunning line-up of awesome writers, is out in January 2026 and is available to pre-order now:

The basket currently open is SCI-FI, deadline midnight 27th February 2026, but it has been pointed out to me that we've got enough fabulous stories to fill three sci-fi volumes already. Even so, it's still worth sending a story our way as we are planning ahead.

The new Harvey Flash!Mob for December: RIDE OF THE VALKYRIES, just to continue the Viking theme this Yuletide, is out on Friday. Many thanks to everyone for the super cool stories. If you love a fast, funny, intelligent read, give these books a go.

Keep an eye open on the 1st January for the first prompt of the new year.
Looking forward to next year, I'm dabbling with the idea of offering inspiration sessions for anyone working towards finishing their novel who'd like a helping hand along the way. Please give me a shout (email me) if that's something you'd be interested in. Not sure on the cost yet, but it won't be a huge amount.
In the meantime, a big thank you to everyone who has supported the Harvey Duckman Project and the Robinson House Writers over the past year. As many of you know and understand, this is very much a not-for-profit, labour of love affair, but we do love working with you all and seeing your stories take flight into the world to find new readers.
Happy writing and best wishes for the new year,
CGH xx
(If this is the first time you've had an email from Harvey, it's because you've sent in a story for Harvey or the Flash!Mobs, done something with me at some point, or taken part in the Robinson House Writers stuff... if you don't want to receive any more emails, please just unsubscribe. If you'd like more stuff, including eBooks each month, and you haven't already, please think about upgrading to a £5/month membership, to help keep the whole Harvey/RHW project going and growing...!)
