Flash!Mob May: DEEP ROOTS

Time is flying! April's Flash!Mob book is due out tomorrow, and until then, here's this month's prompt.

The FLASH!MOB prompt for May 2025 is DEEP ROOTS

300 to 1k wobbly words... any genre... any style... go wild with the whatifs!

What if...

• renovating the abandoned garden of an old house, you start to dig beneath an ancient tree...
• the town genealogist uncovers discrepancies in the archive... whole families are being deleted from the historic record...
• ancestral memory can be downloaded and viewed... for a price
• a beloved tree is chopped down by vandals... what spirits might rise from its roots to get nature's revenge?
• a teenager wants to leave their hometown and forge a new life for themselves... but they can't seem to find a route out of town and always get turned around when they try...

Any of these or whatever springs to mind... have fun and happy writing.
